Diana Tran, MD

Dr. Tran earned her Doctor of Medicine from Chicago Medical School. She has spent most of her life in Southern California. She trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, completing her internship and residency in 2008, and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

What drew Dr. Tran to obstetrics and gynecology is the chance to care for two patients at once, mother and baby, and to share in the daily celebration of new life. She practices general obstetrics and gynecology and works as an OB hospitalist, delivering babies as a central part of her week. She begins with listening. Before explaining a diagnosis, she asks what a patient already understands, then lays out the options in plain language, often using images, and pauses to make room for questions. Her hope is that patients leave each visit clear about what is happening and confident in the plan they have made together, because that understanding is what builds trust. She sees patients primarily at the Upland office and covers the practice’s other Inland Empire locations as needed.
