Franklin Johnson, D.O.

Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Ob/Gyn and has been serving our community for over 15 years. Over the last 15 years he has been recognized by San Antonio Regional Hospital (SARH) for his dedication to community, exceptional patient care, and hospital leadership positions. He has received multiple awards for actively donating medical services to the underserved in the Inland Empire as well as awards for outstanding patient care (including Inland Empire Top Doctor, and 909 magazine Top Doctor).

He is currently the department chairman of Ob/Gyn and serves on the Medical Executive committee at SARH. He has been a member of quality management, emergency medicine, and chairman of medical education at SARH. Dr. Johnson understands the value of involving cutting edge medical technology and performed the first robotic surgery at SARH. He has championed the application of evidence-based medicine and has helped lead SARH to significantly lower cesarean section rates and achieve nationally recognized womens health awards. A belief in lifelong learning, Dr. Johnson has become an associate professor at UC Riverside School of Medicine and is intent on leading the next generation of physicians.

Dr. Johnson has been happily married for over 20 years and has 3 wonderful children (the oldest attends college at Emory University in Atlanta). His favorite pasttime is cooking and you will often hear him joke about leaving medicine to go to Culinary school (just a dream). He is a dedicated Dodger fan and enjoys paddleboarding, deep sea fishing, hiking, and concerts. Dr. Johnson regularly receives praise for his no-nonsense approach, honesty, and casual bedside manner. He enjoys talking with patients and is a favorite with our patients.
