What is FormaV

FormaV is a non-invasive skin and tissue remodeling device that utilizes a subdermal heating applicator. Electrodes conduct radiofrequency waves to improve vaginal and labial elasticity, sensitivity, dryness, and low blood flow. FormaV helps to tighten the vaginal canal and improves collagen restructuring by encouraging the body to produce new collagen. It can also be used to treat stress urinary incontinence and eliminate leakage when sneezing, laughing, exercising or coughing.

What Happens During a FormaV Session?

Each FormaV session is quick and easy. First, ultrasound gel is applied to the treatment area. The power level is set to achieve gradual heating according to patient tolerance. The probe is positioned at the end of the canal without RF application to determine the correct depth before the process starts. The optimal therapeutic temperature for collagen contraction is set.

There will be a sensation of general warmth but it is not uncomfortable. The treatment lasts about 30 minutes, and patients are able to resume their daily activities afterwards, including work and the gym, with no downtime or aftercare needed.

How Many Treatments are Needed?

The number of treatments needed depends on the degree of vaginal laxity and the patient’s concerns. However, many women notice a difference in the way they look and feel about two to three weeks after the first session. Some even feel some degree of tightening within hours of the first treatment.

While there are positive results after the first treatment, many women choose additional treatments to get the best results as each session improves the vaginal tissues.
