Kelsey Huddleston, PA-C

Kelsey Huddleston, PA-C, was born and raised in Fontana, California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in General Biology from Central Washington University. Before physician assistant school, she worked as an OB/GYN medical scribe. That work showed her how much trust patients place in their healthcare providers. She completed her physician assistant training at A.T. Still University’s Central Coast Physician Assistant Program and returned to women’s health there as a provider in training. She completed her clinical training at community health centers in California and Missouri. Much of that training involved caring for patients in underserved communities. That experience taught her to consider how everyday circumstances affect a patient’s ability to access care, take medications, and follow a treatment plan.

She chose obstetrics and gynecology for the connection she felt with patients. The specialty allows her to build relationships with women over time. She provides preventive care, contraception, care for gynecologic concerns, and prenatal and postpartum care for women at every stage of life. She plans to expand her training in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to care for women in perimenopause and menopause. She treats the person, not only the diagnosis. She takes time to learn each patient’s background and circumstances. She wants patients to feel comfortable asking questions and discussing personal topics without embarrassment or judgment. She explains the body, the options, and the reasoning behind each part of a patient’s care. She and her patients make decisions together. Her goal is for every patient to leave a visit feeling heard, supported, and informed.

Outside of work, she enjoys working out and bodybuilding. She hopes to compete in a bodybuilding competition. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, going to the beach, finding local coffee shops, taking ceramics classes, going to EDM and R&B concerts, and spending time with friends and family. She describes herself as a foodie. Her favorites are spicy food, pasta, and tacos. She is family-oriented and is usually the loud, funny one in her group. She says a loud laugh in the office is often hers.
